port said port is northeastern Egyptian city near the Suez Canal.It is considered one of the most important Egyptian ports due to its distinctive location on the entrance of the most significant waterway in the world (The Suez Canal) and in the middle of the biggest merchant shipping line between Europe and the east.

It is moreover the biggest transit port in the world.
Port Said is also an important harbour both for exports of Egyptian products like cotton and rice, but also a fueling station for ships that pass through the Suez Canal. Port Said also thrives on being a duty-free (free zone) port, as well as a summer resort for Egyptians.
